Angel Co-ops – Pooled Capital, Shared Expertise, Global Impact

Startup founders are trying to change the world every single day. They’re the dreamers, the crazy ones who believe they can build a better world. We need more of those dreamers to spark new ideas and help those ideas become reality. I’m a firm believer that the next big innovation could come from anywhere. While established startup ecosystems like Silicon Valley offer robust support for startups, most of the world lack access to essential resources: risk capital, professional networks, and experienced mentorship, expecially for the early-stage startups that have yet to achieve VC readiness. That’s why the world needs more angel investors to support founders when it’s too early for VCs to jump in.

And that’s exactly why I came up with Angel Co-ops to address this disparity. Angel Co-ops is a decentralized fund structure that empowers like-minded angel investors to collaborate. Angel Co-ops members commit capital to a fund and collectively leverage their networks and expertise to source investment opportunities and co-invest alongside the fund. This decentralized model eliminates the need for traditional fund management infrastructure while fostering collective support for portfolio companies. Each Angel Co-op functions as a small close-knit community to angel invest locally.

We’ve already got GPV up and running as the first Angel Co-op fund. The next step is to make Angel Co-op funds super easy to manage by anyone in anywhere. At the end of the day, if we can make angel investing more collaborative and accessible, we can help way more founders turn their crazy ideas into reality. So, go ahead and form an Angel Co-op fund to invest with your buddies!
